Palio delle Rocche in Guazzino

Since 1969, every year on the second Sunday after Easter in Guazzino the "Palio delle Rocche" takes place, an event linked to the veneration of the Madonna delle Grazie that consists of a race between the three districts held in the main street of the town using carts in the shape of ancient Roman chariots, pulled by two members of the district. On top of the chariot is the third member of the team equipped with a wooden spear, which must hit a suspended ring of the diameter of a few centimeters while running towards it.
The three districts (Contrade) that compete are: Le Torri (green - pink), La Casaccia (red - blue) and La Fontana (yellow - black).
Every day of the event the food stand will be open and there will be evenings of themed games and live music to spend a week together in joy.
