Fattoria L'Amorosa

The Fattoria l'Amorosa is a residential complex located in Amorosa, in the territory of the municipality of Sinalunga, in the province of Siena. Built in the Middle Ages on an area already inhabited during the centuries of Etruscan civilization and in the Roman age, it finds its first mention in the fourteenth-century fresco by Lippo Vanni in memory of the Victory of the Sienese in the battle of Val di Chiana, a work preserved in Siena in the Room of the Globe, included in the Civic Museum of the Palazzo Pubblico (Siena). The ownership of the structures was originally owned by the Chigi-Saracini family, and then passed to that of the Piccolomini and Pannillini. In the 18th century it comes to us as a vast estate expanded over time with a granary, stable, cellar, but also an inn, an elementary school and a church which, only starting from the first half of the 19th century, gave rise to a rich parish community.
