Collegiata Church of San Biagio

The collegiate church of San Biagio is the main Catholic place of worship in Scrofiano.
It was founded in 1271 and restructured in the 16th and 17th centuries.
It has a plastered facade with a gabled roof and a portal surmounted by a molded architrave; at the end of the right side is the bell tower.
In the Carmine chapel there is a marble baptismal font and a cast iron monument (1882) with a Blessing Madonna in polychrome majolica produced by Ginori.
The wooden choir and the badalone were built in 1717; the polychrome marble ciborium dates back to the early seventeenth century.
Inside you can admire the following works:
- Lamentation over the dead Christ by Santi di Tito, painted (16th century).
-Madonna and Child with Saints.
-Immaculate Conception of Passignano, painting.
- Punishment of Ananias and Sapphire, referable to Giuseppe Nicola Nasini, painting.
-Blessing Madonna, cast iron monument in polychrome majolica made by Ginori (Cappella del Carmine).
