The festival unites knowledge and fun, drawing inspiration from two centuries: the 16th Century andthe 17th Century.
It is a period in which the late Renaissance deals with the bloody rift of the Siena War, culminating with the Counter-Reform and Baroque, alternating lights (great personalities of the Church, culture, politics) and shadows (economic depression, the destruction brought about by the wars).
One of the aims of the initiative is to spotlight Trequanda, Sinalunga and Torrita di Siena: places with a history and artistic heritage of absolute importance, especially with reference to these two centuries that brought us to modernity.
Moderno! is an integral part of the Reveles project, supported by the Union of Municipalities of Val di Chiana Senese, designed and curated (like the festival) by Simone Marrucci.
The festival is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Sinalunga, the Municipality of Torrita di Siena, the Municipality of Trequanda and Valdichiana Living.
